Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the brasildados.org website and your relationship with the data products we promote, in particular Actors/APIs made available on Apify. By browsing, contacting us, or purchasing API usage through the channels we link to, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are and what we provide

BrasilDados.org publishes commercial and technical information about APIs that primarily process public data from official Brazilian sources (for example, registries and datasets published by federal government bodies). The website is informational. Execution of the APIs, billing, usage limits, keys, and operational availability take place on Apify (or another channel we specify), under that provider’s terms and policies.

2. Permitted use

You agree to use the site and our APIs only for lawful purposes, including:

  • complying with applicable Brazilian law and, where relevant, international rules (e.g. data protection, anti-corruption, sanctions);
  • not using the site to distribute malware, conduct social engineering, abusive load testing, or compromise third-party systems;
  • not framing or copying the site in a way that implies a non-existent institutional link with the government or with Apify.

3. Intellectual property

Branding, layout, copy, and proprietary materials on brasildados.org are owned by the BrasilDados team or licensors unless stated otherwise. Aggregated data in the APIs remains subject to the licenses and conditions of the underlying public sources; our work includes curation, structuring, and technical delivery.

4. Nature of the data and business decisions

API responses reflect public datasets to the extent they are available from the sources. They do not replace legal, accounting, regulatory, or audit advice. Credit, compliance, onboarding, or investigative decisions are solely your responsibility, with human review and internal processes appropriate to your industry.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The site and the materials published on it are provided “as is”. We do not warrant error-free content, permanently valid links, or uninterrupted availability. For service-level commitments, uptime, and API support, the terms of the plan you purchase with Apify (or the equivalent channel) apply.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BrasilDados is not liable for lost profits, loss of data in third-party systems, regulatory fines, or indirect damages arising from use or inability to use the site or the APIs we promote. If public agencies change or withdraw datasets, we will work to update the products but are not obliged to compensate commercial losses.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance. Material updates may be announced on the site or by email when appropriate.
